We’re super happy to announce that we have partnered with Sporting Chance to deliver Character and Mental wellbeing workshops across Wales. The programme is a subsidised programme to help schools in South Wales support their staff and children with character education’ Resilience, Mental and Physical wellbeing.
Sporting Chance provides alternative education to pupils within Newport South Wales, using sport and physical activity as a key driver in delivering education to marginalised pupils across Newport. Their work aims to support pupils to develop a team spirit, improve self-esteem and confidence and enable them to become positive and active members of their communities.
Sporting Chance pride itself on making a difference to all pupils they work with. They use a variety of behaviour change techniques and models to help the pupils understand the positive progress they have made, during their time with SC.
SC provides high-quality teaching and learning environments and mentoring, built on solid foundations of effective relationships between staff and pupils. This enables the development and achievement of life-skills and qualifications for the pupils they work with.
Steve Welsher said “Myself and Paul Parry Co-Founders of Sporting Chance are excited to partner with Commando Joe’s. After meeting with Mike and the team, we can see the hard work and high standards that have gone into CJ’s over the past ten years and we are looking forward to supporting local schools, groups and young people in South Wales to experience the fun and benefits that it brings.”
Mike, Founder of CJ’s Education services said “We’re super excited to be working with Sporting Chance, their enthusiasm and brand values really connect with our ethos. We can’t wait to see what this partnership will bring to South Wales.”
