1st April April Fools Day

Dating back to 1700, English pranksters began celebrating the annual tradition of April Fools Day then known as All Fools’ Day. Today, it’s widely celebrated globally. Laughter is life’s greatest medicine and is the perfect antidote in current times. April Fools Day is a great time to get pranking and lighten the mood. Of course, please be mindful of who you’re pranking and make sure it’s appropriate.

Here are three prank ideas!

Remote Prank: Simply place a sticker or piece of tape over the remote control sensor. See who guesses the prank first?

Bubble Wrap Prank: Place bubble wrap under a rug in the house and wait for the surprise!

Unfamiliar Faces: Print out pictures of famous faces and replace the photographs in your house with them. Who will notice first?

21st April National Tea Day

Everyone loves a good cuppa! This year National Tea Day has partnered with Mind, to help bring people together over a cup of tea (via zoom for now). Together they are raising awareness around the benefits of sharing a cup of tea with friends or family to talk about whatever’s on your mind. Go on, pop the kettle on. Take a look here for more updates.

22nd April Earth Day

Our planet is pretty awesome but it needs some help to keep on going! That’s why each year, more than a billion people worldwide celebrate Earth Day. This year’s focus is on “Restoring our Earth” take a look here at some fantastic activities you can do.

Here are some ways you can help!

Become a Waste Warrior

Did you know, it can take up to 450 years to break down a plastic bottle in a landfill? Be mindful of things you throw away, can you reuse bottles for crafts? Can this item be recycled?

Turn off the Lights

Does that light need to be on right now? Turn it off, electricity comes from fossil fuels that contribute to climate change. Although electricity can be made from wind and solar sources, still think about how much electricity you are using.

Spread the Word

Let your friends and family know about the small ways you can make a difference. Little things go a long way!
